In walking around the mud flats at low tide you come across the following :-First the are the crabs, not keen to hang around, but if you are fast you can catch them.
The little guy with his claws up was taking no prisoners, he was really aggressive, had me on the run :-)
The snails just live a quiter life in what puddles where left, this chap can only just be seen, lots of others where all together, an extended family I quess.
Also the mud flats provide food for the birds as can been seen from this great pile of shells and the grey heron is allways on the lookout for little fish stranded in those pools.
